We Flew Southwest to LAX on Christmas Day 2022!
It's Christmas Day 2022, and we're saying goodbye to Honolulu, but hello to the next - and equally as exciting - stop on our holiday tour! When we planned this trip, we wanted to take advantage of being on the other side of the country and make a pit stop in Anaheim, California on our way back to the East Coast. That’s right, our next stop is the “Happiest Place on Earth” - Disneyland! But before we get there, we've got a six hour flight, a two-hour time zone change and a Christmas Day room tour to share with you. First, we took an airplane shuttle back to the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu, which to our delight was decked out for the holidays! After checking in and ditching our larger bags, we had some time before our flight to check out the beautiful cultural gardens. Before long we were in the air getting a last look at the islands and enjoying another elevated Southwest snack pack. We landed at LAX in the evening and had a pleasant private ride with Karmel Shuttle to our final destination, the Hilton Anaheim. Greeting us in the lobby were several gingerbread houses and other holiday displays. Tired and a bit hungry, we ventured down a long hallway to find our room. With it being 10:00 PM on Christmas Day, we were anticipating a late vending machine dinner -but were delighted to learn that room service was available until midnight.
