Here’s how we made the most of a busy Saturday at Fan Expo Philadelphia 2026!
Fans of comics, sci-fi, animation, gaming and pop culture made their way to downtown Richmond this past weekend for the 2026 GalaxyCon event, a four-day convention that brings together celebrities, artists, cosplayers, entertainers and more for a sprawling celebration of all things great and geeky. We were invited out to cover the convention as press, and we were totally floored by how much there was to see and do!
2026 marked another successful year for LeftField Media’s annual Awesome Con event, bringing celebrities, artists, cosplayers, craftsmen and charitable organizations together for a three-day exhibition throughout the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C.
Produced by the same team behind the TransWorld and the Midwest Haunters conventions, ECHC is a specialized trade show that brings together professionals and enthusiasts from all corners of the haunt industry. April 2025 saw our return to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center for another year of Awesome Con, Washington DC’s biggest celebration of comics, pop culture and all things geek chic. A regular event for more than a decade, this convention has become something of an annual tradition for us; and we couldn’t have been more excited to dive back into the the atmosphere, the exhibitors, the cosplay, and everything else that makes Awesome Con awesome!

When we made the decision to attend FanExpo Philadelphia, there were a number of headlining celebrities that we were excited to meet, and - consequently - we decided to budget for VIP weekend admission.
