Hersheypark's Storm Runner REOPENS After 18-Month Closure!

If you’ve ever visited Hersheypark, you might be familiar with a disembodied voice loosing the words “Now get ready…here we go!” followed by the sudden screams of parkgoers and the sound of a hydraulic slingshot being fired. These sounds have, in prior seasons, come from Intamin’s dual-loading launch coaster, ‘Storm Runner’, strategically placed in Pioneer Frontier℠ at Hersheypark. However, from the June 2020 park opening onwards, Storm Runner has been indefinitely closed due to the continued postponement of scheduled maintenance. We are thrilled to report that after nearly 18 months of inactivity, Storm Runner has finally returned to action at the Sweetest Place on Earth!
