Love is Blind at Laurel's House of Horror!
For Valentine’s Day this year, we were given a unique opportunity to combine two of our favorite couples’ activities - going to the theatre, and getting scared out of our minds! Not far from the zip code where Tim originally grew up is an abandoned movie theatre that has been converted into a haunted house and escape room facility under the monicker ‘Laurel’s House of Horror’. We were over the moon to have been hosted by the owners and given an opportunity to film inside the haunted attractions during their off-season event, ‘Love is Blind’! This was one of the longest and most unique scare mazes that we have ever experienced, and - in addition to being incredibly well-themed - this attraction also made us part of the action by giving us a singular electric candle which would flicker on and off intermittently to increase the tension of each moment. After experiencing the haunted house, we went on to have 1:1 conversations with all of the attraction icons - and, shortly thereafter, to be trolled by “Jigsaw” in a grisly escape game that tested our wits and our stamina alike!
