Long before we became the tried-and-true haunt enthusiasts that we are today, we had heard more than once about the legendary haunt experience at Pennhurst Asylum in Spring City, PA. After finally visiting this property for the first time this past October, we’re giving you a complete rundown of everything that you need to know to prepare for a future visit of your own!

Darkwood Manor Unleashes the Phantom Forge!

We were invited out to Darkwood Manor, an iconic haunted attraction nestled just outside Shenandoah National Park, to help the team kick off its 2024 haunt season - and were some of the first to square off against the hellscape of the Phantom Forge and the rogue artificial intelligence known only as P.E.G. - an experience we will not soon forget!

Leading Lambs to the Slaughter at Red Vein

Red Vein Haunted House, an independent haunt located on Hanover Vegetable Farm, has been a growing force in Virginia’s haunt scene for nine years. Despite frequently passing through the area, we had never been able to experience Red Vein firsthand until owner and creative architect Ryan Sligh invited us out to help themkick off their 2024 operating season. Having heard nothing but praise from fellow haunters and scare actors, we were eager to see if it lived up to the hype. Spoiler alert: it did!

Finding Love Again at Laurel's House of Horror

After a year of travels, explorations, experiences and endeavors, our haunter hearts finally found their way back to Laurel’s House of Horror for the 2024 Love is Blind event - bringing us full circle and reuniting us with some of our favorite ghouls and goblins for the second annual Valentine’s Day event at this small and spooky attraction in Laurel, MD!

2023: A Year in Review

As the old adage goes, “the days go slow, but the years go fast”; that saying has never felt more appropriate than it does as we look back on the past year. 2023 was hands down one of the best years of our lives - with more travel, more adventure and more new and exciting experiences than in any year prior. And although all 365 days seemed to fly by, we can honestly say that we made every single moment count!

Opening Weekend 2023 at Laurel's House of Horror!

After visiting Laurel’s House of Horror during their off-season events in February and May, we were beyond excited to see what they had cooked up for their main season! In addition to some notable changes made to queue and the scare maze itself, we also got a chance to check out their newest and most immersive escape room yet - ‘Escape the Movies: The Sequel’!
