Christmas Gets Creepy at Field of Screams!

Christmas Gets Creepy at Field of Screams!

Admit it, you thought we were done with spooky season, right? Well, surprise! Today’s adventure takes us right back to our home haunt for our first ever taste of Creepy Christmas at Field of Screams in Lancaster, PA. This is one of many one-night-only “off-season” events that Field of Screams puts on for folks like us who just can’t get enough spooks! While Nocturnal Wasteland and the Haunted Hayride are closed, patrons can still enjoy Frightmare Asylum and the Den of Darkness with frighteningly festive holiday overlays. Escape games, axe-throwing, and carnival games also remain open during the off-season. We were pleased to see the Midway “decked out” for the occasion and it was great to see resident clowns Krunk and Bonjo in their holiday best as well.

As night fell and the event officially kicked off, we were surprised to find out that our tickets included 3 total attraction walkthroughs - meaning we could revisit either Frightmare or Den (dealer’s choice) a second time! In between light and sound projection shows, we also noticed a new Krampus projection on Den that really captured the “Creepy Christmas” spirit of the event. Speaking of Krampus, the anti-claus himself was there! A towering figure complete with hooves, horns, and all was wandering the Midway to the terror and delight of many guests. We also can’t forget to shout out the special effects makeup department that went above and beyond our expectations to put a holiday twist on all our favorite ghouls and goblins.

Of course, it's not really the holidays if you don’t see some friends and family, so it was extra special to run into The Haunt Informer and The Haunt Review Crew for a totally unplanned and serendipitous Holiday Haunter Meetup. We would like to thanks the owners for permitting us to capture our experience inside the attractions on this night and many others. Our goal - as always - is to inspire and encourage others to visit our favorite haunts and see for themselves what makes them worthwhile. We hope to catch you in the Field for the next spectacular spooky event; but in the meantime, you can check out our event vlog below!
