Our Christmas Nightmare at Laurel's House of Horror!
In our final event vlog of the year, we're taking on the fabled ‘Christmas Nightmare’ at Laurel's House of Horror in Maryland! This was our second holiday haunt of the 2023 season, but on this occasion we were decidedly more hands-on. After teasing it all year, Tim’s long anticipated debut as a scare actor finally manifested at this Christmas event! We followed along with each step as Tim transformed into the monstrously mischievous elf, codename “Twinkle Coldstone”. To show his dedication to the craft, he even shaved off his beard to give the makeup artists a full canvas to work on - and, as he was quick to point out, it was the scariest thing you’ll see all day! On the other hand, if Tim is in the maze, that means Katie has to brave it alone, right? Luckily, our friend Brandon of LW Aerial Productions was there capturing some epic drone footage of the event and even braved the holiday maze with Katie. You may even catch some of the drone footage in our vlog!
Overall, Laurel’s House of Horror put on another amazing event that perfectly combined holiday cheer with holiday fear. The additional lighting, set pieces, holiday soundscape, and costume variants were a delight…and was that snow we saw in the Town?! Tim quickly found his footing as the enthusiastic emissary to Krampus, and you won’t believe how many times he caught Katie off guard throughout her multiple walkthroughs of the maze. Thanks again to Laurel’s House of Horror for hosting us for this and many other events in 2023.
