Laurel’s House of Horror Celebrates its 10th Anniversary

When we first visited Laurel’s House of Horror for their Valentine’s Day celebration in early 2023, we had no idea how far they’d come as a haunted attraction or how close they were to a major milestone. A now-iconic haunt occupying the ruins of the historic Twin Cinema in Laurel, MD, the House of Horror boasts a year-round staff of roughly fifteen and a seasonal staff of more than sixty, and the team has worked around the clock to build, paint, polish and stain each prop, set and dressing to bring another year of fear to the Baltimore/Washington metro area. This year, however, was different. This year, Laurel’s House of Horror celebrated a decade in operation with its tenth season - and they truly went ALL out! It’s difficult for words to convey what a remarkable glow-up this haunt has experienced over even the short period between our first visit and our most recent visit, let alone the ten years that they’ve spent honing their craft and enhancing their maze and escape room experience(s). That’s why we felt it was so important to be there in person for the opening weekend of their tenth season, so that we could bring a small piece of this incredible event to you!
