Testing our Luck at Field of Screams!
LANCASTER, PA – Field of Screams turned green for St. Patrick’s Day this past weekend, welcoming haunt and spooky enthusiasts to one of its most festive offseason events of the year. For the second year in a row, the iconic Nocturnal Wasteland haunted trail joined the usual duo of off-season attractions—Frightmare Asylum and the Den of Darkness—making this March celebration bigger, bolder, and more immersive than ever. Irish-themed ghouls, high-energy actors and creepy surprises transformed the chilly spring night into a raucous scream-fest with a touch of Celtic flair.
This year’s St. Paddy’s event saw the return of the haunt’s not-so-secret “Noc Bar” deep within the wooded trail, and an all-new extravagantly themed drink menu at the Chainsaw Bar. Signature cocktails and blends such as the “Shamrock Shaker” and the returning “Pot of Gold” added a festive (and boozy) twist to the evening, with décor, garnish, and presentation that rivaled the scares themselves. The Shamrock Shooter, complete with a gummy rainbow, was a particular hit with our group—equal parts strange, strong, and undeniably on-theme. The bars, open only to guests 21 and older with valid ID, added a playful pub-like energy to the haunt experience that felt both celebratory and sinister.
Field of Screams is always changing, growing and adding terrifying new odds and ends to make it a standout in the haunt industry. With new photo ops, new custom-designed themed tables, new limited-edition merchandise - including hand-crafted “Scaredy Bears” from the artisans on staff - and an all-new scene for the ever-enduring “Den of Darkness”, the haunt once again delivered a top-tier seasonal experience to sate our spooky souls while we wait for September and October to roll around. If you missed the St. Patrick’s Day event, don’t worry—Field of Screams hosts multiple unique experiences throughout the year.
