Two Caves, One Day! Indian Echo Caverns & Penn's Cave!
Those willing to drive a reasonable distance between Hershey, PA and Centre Hall, PA will find that it is possible to explore two very unique cave systems in the same day! We dedicated a recent Saturday to a series of adventures at both Indian Echo Caverns (near Hersheypark) and Penn’s Cave out in rural, rustic Pennsylvania! Both cave tours are absolutely worth investigating. Indian Echo holds some truly special history and rock formations in its hollowed tunnels; Penn’s Cave, as a flooded system, is the only cavern in the United States to feature a tour guided navigated entirely by way of boat. Best of all, both cave systems sustain a temperature of about 52 degrees fahrenheit year round, so they’re a great activity for rain, shine, summer or winter!
